A commissioned trade Indian halberd axe:
- Hand forged head with a large crescent blade and thin downward tapered spike
- Top spear point has a medial ridge and is bent towards the blade to replicate the original
- Holding the head to the handle is a long thin nail-like spike which is driven into the 10.5″ handle
- The top of the handle is supported by a 1/8″ think iron band held by a hand hammered rivet
- Hickory handle has been stained very dark to match the original
- The halberd axe was replicated from an original from the Guthman Collection pictured in the book Battle Weapons of the American Revolution
- Stamped with touch-mark
