• The head is fitted with a hand shaped naturally curved hickory handle
• The handle shows signs of normal wear with various cut marks, dings and a few file marks
• Also on this sweeping handle is a small terminal knob that is drilled with a lanyard hole
• The handle was shaped, including the knob in the style of an original Naval Boarding Ax
• The overall length of the handle is 22 3/8″ which gives the axe a very light and perfect balance
