This buffalo spontoon pipe tomahawk is a commissioned piece replicated from an original Plains Indian tomahawk:
- Replicated from an original from the book, Indian Tomahawks & Frontiersmen Belt Axes by Hartzler and Knoles
- Handle is made from hickory and file branded with aged brass tacks above and below the head. Other decorations include a Christian cross and border around the hand-hold of brass tacks
- Additional decoration includes a beaded horse-hair drop and a cartridge mouthpiece
- Head was forged into the shape of a buffalo as was the original with a pipe on the opposite side
- Lastly, pipe tomahawk is stamped with touch-mark
