This Pawnee gunstock war club is a double key-hole pierced Plains Indian club:
- This war club is made from sugar maple hardwood with some burled figure on the upper end
- Replicated from an original gun stock war club at Splendid Heritage, attributed to the Pawnee Plains tribe
- The double key-hole piercings are bordered with aged brass tacks
- This war club has a hand forged Plains style trade Dag blade that has been secured with a copper pin
- Handle of the club has a round washer-like pommel that has also been pierced and encircled with brass tacks
- Overall club has been painted with red war paint and rubbed back to simulate age
- Decorations on the club include several animal totems and power symbols some which include an eagle, sun, moon and stars, bear paw prints, wolf with tracks and a buffalo and human spirit unification
- The top and bottom edge of the club has a lightening design incised carved along the total perimeter
- Finishing out the club is a buffalo rawhide twisted lanyard and a horse hair drop
- Aged and stained in a traditional manner and finished with bear oil
- A stand handmade from railroad spikes in the form of a lizard holds the club
