This 1690s English Officer’s Carbine flintlock is replicated from an original from the book Of Sorts For Provincials:
- Every part of this flintlock was hand crafted by me other than the lock
- The lock is a re-worked early English from Jim Chambers
- The barrel is hand-made from a blank and inlaid with a brass V-notch rear sight
- On the barrel is a sterling silver bladed front sight
- The stock is made from figured English walnut, all hand carved and hand in-letted
- Brass parts on these guns include ramrod pipes, side plate, butt plate and trigger guard, all hand made from sheet brass
- In the wrist of the gun is a sterling silver escutcheon to signify the initials of the owner
- Carving on this carbine includes tang carving, rear entry pipe carving and barrel molding
- This flintlock has been stained and rubbed back with light age and wear, similar to the original
