An Eastern Woodlands ball war club, commissioned piece:
- This ball headed war club is replicated from an original made from a black ash root burl
- Carvings were closely copied from the original including the scallops, kill / captive record, a totem and a depiction of what appears to be a mythical creature (possibly a waterbug)
- Club is held with custom made holder made from forged steel
- Finally, the holder is a curly maple base carved into an effigy of a turtle – turtle’s legs are made from square twisted steel, eyes relief carved in wood
